Our Vision

The Vision of Rock Church Bradford

Rock Church Family
“What God can do for you, He can do through you.”
There are two aspects to our local vision at The Rock Church, Bradford.
At the Rock, we have a “Home leg” to our vision which involves reaching out to our local community, which we do in various ways, not least our Bamboo Connect Café, which is now open every Friday.
We have also recently started a new ministry out of Bamboo Café on a Friday called “Bags of Blessings”, where we give free bags of food to those struggling to cope financially in our community.
We also have a meal together once per month after our church service and have various outreach events/BBQs throughout the year. We aim to do a significant outreach event every three months!
The Rock Centre
It’s been exciting seeing the ongoing refurbishment and the re-purposing of “The Rock Centre”, a dual space for the community that hosts our Bamboo café and, indeed, a bespoke area for the Rock youth!
We also have an “Away leg” to our vision which will include planting more Rock churches around three hubs throughout the UK. Our shared vision is to have ten expressions of the church around the UK by 2030.
  • Rock Midlands
  • Rock North
  • Rock South
We do not fully know how this will look or where all the churches will be. However, we sense that each region will have a central church hub of significance, which will act as a resource to other local churches in its given area.
Rock family churches
There will also be “Rock” relating churches that will be fully independent yet part of our wider family for encouragement, teaching and relationship.
Church planting
As well as this, we will have churches we will look to plant in some of the key cities in the UK & or repurpose under the Rock church name and banner.
Rock churches will be resourced with regular training, local conferences, and broader national conferences. There will be local shorter day and weekend conferences around the various regions. This will help to build strength in our relationships and to ensure that the local church leader is well supported.
At the conferences, we have experienced church leaders of significance and integrity who will bring messages of faith, challenge & hope -and indeed, encouragement so that we leave conferences inspired by Jesus to make a difference where we serve.
We have four national conferences per year. As well as regional training days to augment the broader conferences.
Please do take a look at photos from our most recent conference, “The Green Room” from Feb 2023, which included speakers like Paul Benger from Ikon/Ground level, Steve Campbell from C3 Cambridge as well as our team
